Cake Truffles

Cake pops, truffles, bites, whatever you like to call these they are a lot of fun and even more fun to enjoy, shared or not! Get as creative as you wish with this one, pick your own flavour cake, icing and chocolate coating

Ingredients
1 plain cake, freshly baked
1 tub of cake frosting
1 block of cooking chocolate

Method
While the cake is still partly warm, break up the cake into a large bowl into a breadcrumb like texture.
Add your choice of icing/frosting and mix well.
Roll the mixture into tablespoon sized balls, lay on a tray lined with baking paper and allow to completely cool in the fridge
In a microwave safe bowl melt your choice of chocolate increments, don’t forget to stir!
Using a fork, coat the cake balls in the melted chocolate and place back onto the baking paper to completely set.

> Red velvet with vanilla frosting and white chocolate coating
> Carrot cake with cream cheese frosting and white/caramel chocolate coating
> Chocolate cake, chocolate frosting, chocolate chips mixed through and various chocolate coatings
> Vanilla cake, vanilla butter cream, sprinkles and white chocolate coating rolled in more sprinkles
> Chocolate cake, cream cheese frosting, milk chocolate coating rolled in crushed oreos
> Chocolate cake, vanilla frosting, dash of cointreau and coated in dark chocolate
> Banana bread, cream cheese frosting, milk chocolate coating rolled in walnuts
> Chocolate cake, mint chocolate frosting, dark chocolate
> Vanilla cake, white chocolate ganache, desiccated coconut, white chocolate coating rolled in coconut flakes
