Gorgonzola and Pear

For those that remember Cafe Italia in Carlton, they used to serve up the best gorgonzola and pear gnocchi on their famous and very popular all you can eat gnocchi night!
Serves 2

Ingredients
1 cup cooking cream
1 cup Gorgonzola
Walnuts
Parmesan cheese
Pear

Method
In a large frypan, add the cream and bring to a simmer over a medium heat.
Add the gorgonzola, crumbling into the pan along with a few tablespoons of parmesan while continually mixing.
In the mean time, crush walnuts and peel and slice half a pear, keeping the second half for presentation.
Once all the cheeses have melted through the cream, taste and add more parmesan if required.
Mix through your pasta of choice with 1/4 cup of pasta water and cook through for a few minutes.
Remove from heat and add pear and walnuts and serve immediately, topped with additional pear and nuts to your taste/desire.
