Inspired by the movie “The Holiday Calendar” this minty hot chocolate is a perfect sweet treat or sweet gift during the holiday season! Plus a much more enjoyable way to enjoy candy canes

Ingredients
1 cup dark chocolate buds
1/4 mint chocolate or 1 teaspoon peppermint essence
Mini candy canes or large ones shortened
Hot milk to serve
Method
Place both chocolates in a bowl and melt completely either in increments in the microwave or over a pot of boiling water.
Once completely melted, spoon evenly into a silicon mould (they are fairly difficult to get out of plastic ice cube trays!)
While the chocolate is still wet, place in your candy cane handles, keeping as upright as possible.
Allow to completely cool and set (do not place in the fridge as the candy cane will start to melt!)
Remove from mould and enjoy with some hot milk of your choice.
