Just like in the movie the Christmas Chronicles, I like to decorate my festive shortbreads with extra sprinkles, but no those chunky big tooth chipping ones!!!

Ingredients
500g butter
2 cups icing sugar
4 cups plain flour
All of the colourful sprinkles
Chocolate of choice
Method
In a large bowl, cream together the butter and the sugar
Mix through the flour to form a firm dough.
Roll into manageable logs [3-4] and wrap in glad wrap.
Pop in the fridge for 15 minutes, allowing it to become slightly firm
Slice, cut into your shape and place on a tray lined with baking paper or lightly greased.
Bake for 15-20minutes at 150 degrees or until they start to colour.
Allow these to cool on the tray.
Melt chocolate and using either a spoon or a piping bag, get ready to decorate your biscuits, adding the sprinkles as you go while the chocolate is still wet.
Store in an airtight container or biscuit jar for around a week, if they haven’t been devoured before then!
Want to be even more festive? Add a few drops of food colouring into the dough!
